New Bedford EMS Training Academy

Presently our September course is full and we will update this page if more space becomes available . Our next scheduled EMT class will start in January of 2026.  We look forward to seeing you in January. Below is some information about our program. 

New Bedford EMT Training Academy offers a comprehensive Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) Initial Course designed to accommodate your schedule with part-time evening options. The program takes approximately 4 months to complete and prepare to take the National Registry Exam. Once you have successfully complete the EMT program and have met all requirements , you will be eligible for the National Registry exam, as well as the Massachusetts EMS certification and may be eligible to pursue a career in public safety or the medical fields. 

Course curriculum covers anatomy and physiology, Medical and Trauma patient assessment and triage, bleeding control, treatment of shock, oxygen therapy, and more.  Please check back often for more updates  We will update this page as more seat become available .
