At New Bedford E.M.S., our mission is clear: to save lives  and deliver first class prehospital care to New Bedford's diverse community by providing professional and compassionate prehospital health care.

Our highly trained Paramedics are equipped to perform critical procedures like electrocardiograms, intubations and provide medication in the field, ensuring that every second counts in saving lives.

We work under the guidance of a dedicated Medical Director and collaborate closely with the Massachusetts Office of Emergency Medical Services. Beyond emergency response, we are committed to education, supporting local high school EMT programs, and serving as a precepting site for Paramedic Interns. Our dedication extends to community education, with public access defibrillators available in public buildings and schools, and a robust training academy offering EMT programs, CPR classes, and more.

Our Team

Our team consists of nearly fifty full and part-time EMTs and Paramedics who operate on rotating shifts. Many of our providers are also educators, regularly teaching CPR, First Aid, and other healthcare programs to the public. We take pride in our diverse and skilled team that is committed to delivering the best care possible.
