EMT Course

New Bedford EMT Training Academy offers a comprehensive Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) Initial Course designed to accommodate your schedule with part-time evening options. The program takes approximately 4 months to complete and prepares you to take the National Registry Exam. Once you have successfully completed the EMT program and have met all requirements, you will be eligible for the National Registry exam, as well as the Massachusetts EMS certification and may be eligible to pursue a career in public safety or the medical fields.

Course curriculum covers anatomy and physiology, Medical and Trauma patient assessment and triage, bleeding control, treatment of shock, oxygen therapy, and more.

Class schedule:

Tuesdays and Thursdays from 5:30pm to 9:30pm, two Saturdays a month from 9:00am to 5:00pm

The tuition for the program is $1,350. A deposit of $300 is required to reserve a seat. Payment options are available, once you are registered and your deposit is paid a member of our staff will be in contact and will discuss payment plan option with you. Included in the cost of Tuition is the textbook, online access to school resources and the uniform shirt. Students are responsible for all testing fees at the conclusion of the program after successful completion.
