New Bedford EMS is proud to welcome its newest paramedic, Brody Hunt, to the front lines of emergency care. As a new certified paramedic, Brody joins a dedicated team of professionals committed to saving lives and serving the community with compassion, skill, and integrity.
Starting out as a new paramedic is both exhilarating and humbling. Every call is a chance to make a difference — whether it’s helping a patient through a medical crisis, providing reassurance during a stressful moment, or working side by side with fellow first responders in challenging situations. For Brody, stepping into the field is the realization of a dream and the beginning of a lifelong mission.
“Becoming a paramedic is something I’ve worked incredibly hard for,” said Brody. “Now that I’m out in the field, every day is a new opportunity to learn, grow, and be there for people when they need it most.”
New paramedics like Brody must quickly adapt to a fast-paced environment. From navigating high-pressure 911 calls to mastering protocols and teamwork in the back of an ambulance, every shift brings new challenges — and new victories.
Veteran members of the New Bedford EMS team have been quick to offer guidance and mentorship. “We’ve all been the new guy at one point,” said EMS Deputy Director David Zander, “Brody shows all the signs of a solid paramedic — he’s calm, focused, and eager to learn.”
Despite the challenges, the reward of making a difference in someone’s life keeps Brody motivated. “When someone calls 911, they’re often having the worst day of their life. Being the one who shows up to help is a privilege I don’t take lightly.”
Welcome to the team, Brody Hunt. New Bedford EMS is proud to have you on board. Here’s to a future of growth, service, and saving lives — one call at a time.
